There was something else that Mousa's cousin said that I forgot to mention, that was interesting. Although he initially indicated that he thought that all Jews were bad, later on in the conversation, he started to say something different:
'The Israeli soldiers behave differently to each other. The ones from Europe or America, they don't care about anything. They think nothing about hitting an old man or a child. The Israelis from Morocco or Iraq are different. They have a heart, they have more respect'.
Which reminded me that behind even an apparently granite-like generalised judgement, there is something else going on. People are also differentiating, they are being more subtle than they appear, it is possible to talk about better or worse, maybe those others are not all demons ...
